HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Being a strict grammarian, all I can say is...

My children are present(s) perfect to me :)

I am so blessed to have been entrusted with their care and
they reward me everyday by the lovely, loving lives they live.

Not all that long ago, Jason said: "It just keeps getting better!"  (He's right!)

THURSDAY'S CHILD

Yes, it’s Tuesday, but…

“Thursday’s child has far to go.”  And, so far, he has gone far!

Canada
Mexico
Taiwan
Argentina
Uruguay
Paraguay
Brazil
Croatia
Serbia
Turkey
Israel
Romania
Italy
France
Spain
Portugal
Holland
Belgium
Ukraine
Bahamas
Costa Rica
Germany
Hungary
Jordan

Perhaps it all began when he became enthralled with planes when he was two in Holland.
Wherever he goes, there he is… savoring what God has made.

HAPPY TRAILS, JASON.  AND, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!  XOXO MOM AND DAD

A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME

A little birdie told me you would be here today and I am thrilled!!!!

Sit with me in the backyard and do some bird watching.  We have hummingbirds, doves, sparrows, and don't forget the hawk we saw last year.  He keeps coming back looking for YOU!

I told him you would be here today.

ZUCCH'S ALIVE!!!!!

YUP!

The zucchini are up and lookin' great.

One row is already established, a second just sprouted as back-up to the first crop... you know how tired they start looking after a while.

These sweeties will make fine soup, pancakes, ratatouille, pickles, etc.

If you have a favorite recipe, would you share with me?

THE SUN WILL COME UP TOMORROW

or, perhaps in a few weeks.

The May Gray continues here with an occasional bright and sunny hour or two to inspire.

Last week I planted the sunflower seeds and already they have germinated and show signs of life, despite the overcast weather.

All along the fence line they will grow tall and strong.  In the meantime, I am placing some wire forms (lightweight) on the fence in the great anticipation that the heads on these giants will be so full and heavy that they will require some assistance.

I know a few birds who will enjoy this harvest :)

NO CLOWNIN'

You know how sometimes you remember something from yesteryear that makes you laugh "out loud"?

My Mother used to begin telling my brother something with the line..."When I was a little boy..."

She and I would "wink, wink" and the comment just passed right over his head...until one day... he looked at her and challenged the impossibility.

I remember many, many little funnies like this that make me smile today right through my tears.

She was soooo very witty and clever.
